Big Idea's General Scheme for Education and Economy working together

One of the primary goals of Big Idea is researching ways to make the world a better place. While the research is being conducted, the researchers and their peers will be lecturing on their specific research as well as related studies. We also want to include as many people and students as possible in the actual research, which has several purposes

1) The more people that look at a problem, the more potential solutions there become because people approach problems in different ways.
2) It allows students excellent hands-on experience which will help them find employment
3) It allows students who may not be attempting a Bachelors or Masters degree elsewhere to have access to higher levels of education
4) Once the technologies are developed enough to be in production there will be a large number of people with varying levels of education and experience but who really understand it and that will make for an excellent workforce on all levels

So an example of this might be a mechanically inclined young man who although a Bachelors degree wasn't in his future at the time, he was intelligent and cared about the earth. So, he comes to Big Idea to learn about (lets say) some new solar technology we're working on. This young man learns not only essentially everything there is to know about the technology and how its put together and how to fix it but also expands his logic, reasoning, and knowledge in other fields. Then he goes out and gets a job because he has direct experience and a great skill set.

With a workforce that skilled and knowledgeable the American-made products would be fantastic and that's how Big Idea wants to use education and research to help the economy. Creating new technologies and new job fields that not only make the world a better place but generate great products we can be proud of.

Starting Small, Aiming Big

The Big Idea for Change is still in its baby stages, hardly more than an idea at this point, but that is how big things start- with an idea. There is so much work to be done and it is going to take time and help, but I believe this idea can grow and inspire people to make the world a better place. This world needs a driving force in education, environmental responsibility and research directed towards making the world a better place and strengthening our economy. Let's make one.

If you want to get involved and:

If you have experience with forming or working for non-profits, website design, grant writing, marketing/communications, high-level management, accounting, legal work, research ideas, and more please contact Tara

If you don't have experience but still want to help please follow the blog, invite people, like Big Idea on Facebook, follow Big Idea on Facebook Causes, follow us on twitter, retweet about us and just generally spread the word.

As we move along we will post more specific opportunities for you to get involved

Initial To-Do List

There is a ton of work to be done to get Big Idea going. This is just a brief list of goals to work on for now
1) Spreading the word! This is so important! Big Idea is about working together and that means getting people involved.
2) Finding people to help. This is a huge project and we need people with more experience to make this successful.
3) Becoming a non-profit is the first step in getting the ball rolling
4)Finding sponsors and funding

Anyone can help by following the page, sharing links, and inviting friends

If you want to do more please contact us, we need all the help we can get!

Big Idea

Big Idea

Introduction:
Big Idea is a plan to revolutionize research and education while developing technology to stop health crises around the world as well as keep our world green.  And we are going to create new jobs while we’re at it. Big Idea is really so big that in order to accomplish it we need many different people and organizations contributing in a variety of ways.

Big Idea would be a huge research center and institution of higher learning that would work with other universities, service organizations, and anyone who wants to be part of a movement to revolutionize education and research while making the world a better place.

With Big Idea we will take the research and apply it directly towards helping people. Big Idea aims to eradicate hunger, give people clean water and electricity, eliminate disease, develop cleaner energy and products, create new jobs, and to educate everyone. Part of the plan is to have a medical school with degrees ranging from technical to medical doctor that will be aimed towards people who want to work in service positions. This education will be provided at little or no cost because let’s face it: it is much easier to accept a service organization’s salary when you don’t have a mountain of school debt looming over you. All other education, seminars, and training would also be provided at little or no cost. Education and healthcare are two basic rights that Big Idea wants to give the world.

Big Idea would also create hundreds if not thousands of jobs. Construction, maintenance, administrative, research, and instructor type jobs would be created, but the main goal is to be developing new technologies that will lead to whole new fields of job development such as production of eco-friendly products or vaccines, and who knows what else might happen when you put some of the brightest minds in the country together.

In order for this Big Idea to happen, I need help. I don’t have any experience running an institution or fundraising and grant proposals or the legal aspects. Please LIKE THIS PAGE if you think that Big Idea is a good idea. Also, please let me know if you want to help in any way. Please share this with EVERYONE, if this is going to work there needs to be a lot of support. THANKS!!

Objectives:
1)    Use scientific research to help all people live happier healthier lives
2)    Use research to develop more environmentally-friendly technologies and products
3)    To gain, share and integrate knowledge and then to distribute it
4)    To create new jobs in expanding fields that are helping others or the environment

Research categories:
Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Materials Sciences, Psychology, Physiology, Astronomy, Physics, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences and more.
